DLR EOC Plans to Enhance 'Cold Regions' Research through Competence Bundling

The Earth Observation Center (EOC) of the German Aerospace Center (DLR) plans to consolidate its expertise in snow cover, glaciers, mountain environments, and sea ice to advance research in 'cold regions.' An internal meeting is scheduled before the end of 2012 to discuss these initiatives. Additionally, a meeting between GEO and EOC will take place in January or February 2013. The 'Land Surface Dynamics' group aims to strengthen international collaboration in this area and emphasizes sharing data products with the international community once they are published in scientific journals.
