  3. LEARNER 2 CORE & 2 ELECTIVE per year - No exemplary works are required your senior year. • EXEMPLARY WORKS6 core classes (Math, English, Science etc…) 6 elective classes This form must accompany your exemplary work

  4. LEARNER • REPORT CARDSSubmitted for each semester • HSPE RESULTS Submitted for each testing window • SENIOR REFLECTION PAPER 2-3 page reflective paper on the three portfolio sections (Learner, Civic Contributor, College/Career Ready) and 13th year plan – to be completed spring of senior year • SENIOR RESEARCH PAPER 5+ page research paper – to be completed in senior English class 1st semester

COLLEGE/CAREER READY • CAREER EXPLORATIONCareer/pathway inquiry – WOIS/Career Cruising career search that will include pathway interests, training and/or specific jobs – Worksheet needed for this activity • COVER LETTER & ACADEMIC RESUME • 13th YEAR PLAN – 12th grade This is embedded into the reflection paper. • FINANCIAL PLANNING ACTIVITYTo attain goal of 13th year plan / Reality Check (WOIS) - Print this out when complete and turn into your advisor. ONE PER YEAR This needs to be done on your own time at home or school This needs to be done on your own time at home or school

COLLEGE/CAREER READY • MISCELLANEOUS ACTIVITIES(Minimum of 2 activities) HOW TO REPORT ACTIVITIES • Job Shadow, Internship or Job • Volunteer in field of interest • Take one of the following tests: PSAT, SAT, ACT OR ASVAB • Complete college/program application • Complete scholarship application • Attend FAFSA Night at LCC or Longview Schools • Attend a college/career fair Forms can be picked up in the Career Center to report the miscellaneous activities. Students must provide evidence with the form such as a copy of an application, a program from a college fair, copy of testing ticket or signature from boss/mentor.

CIVIC CONTRIBUTOR • COMMUNITY SERVICE - 24 HRS Mowing your elderly neighbor’s yard doesn’t count • Non-profit organization • Outside of school hours • No double dipping Hours served prior to this past summer DON’T COUNT! Eagle Scout projects Honor Society Key Club FCCLA Class Projects Etc… Hours served cannot be used to fulfill another organization’s/class requirements

  8. CIVIC CONTRIBUTOR • SERVICE TO SCHOOL – 12 POINTS Points must be from at least 2 different areas AREAS • Curricular club/team* – 1 yr. = 1 pt. Art Club Math Team Science Club World Language Clubs • Participation in a theatre production 1 pt/production • Participation in a musical performance 1 pt/yr – elite groups will earn more (Honor choirs, Grotto, Valentines, etc.) • Athletic participation – 1 pt/season • Great attendance for school year – 1pt. No unexcused absences • Discipline free for a school year – 1 pt. No infractions listed on Skyward • School community service 1 point for every 2 hours of service --Outside of school hours --Must be unpaid • Non-curricular clubs/activities* – 1 yr. = 1 pt.   10. SENIOR ORAL PRESENTATIONS • Presentations will be held June of your senior year. • Presentation will encompass the 3 project areas: Learner, Civic Contributor, and College/Career Ready • Oral presentations will be in front of a mixed panel of staff and community members.
