  2. Electrical Power System DC TRANSMISSION • This work is being performed per WP1118 • DC Transmission (Outdoor) PDR was successfully held on 02/17/ 2004. • DC Transmission (Outdoor) FDR was successfully held on May 14 2004. • DC Transmission (Indoor part) FDR was successfully held on July 29 2004. • BURNS ENGINEERING CO. performed the design work of the outdoor portion of the DC transmission (through BOA) and prepared the design package • We completed the design work of the transmission extension to the equipments in each location. • Statement of Work NCSX-SOW-432-02-00 was generated by Henry Carnevale for the installation of the Outdoor part of the transmission including the penetrations into the buildings. • MAUL ELECTRIC Co. has been issued a Sub-contract S005128-F for installing the transmission system. • Project schedule - job to be performed starting August 08 through October 31 2004 Raki Slide 2

  4. WORK PERFORMED SO FAR • DC Transmission from D to C Site was proposed in November 2000 • The idea was developed further in several reviews in early 2001. Facilities Department (Carl Potensky was advised of the developments – this was to enable to perform site studies for positioning the towers • When there was a consensus to the approach , under Basic Order Agreement S-04236-F, Job Order # 3 (Title 1) was issued TO Burns through FACILITIES DEPT in December 2001. This was to provide an estimate for the task • Burns provided their input of estimate on January 11 2002 through Henry Carnevale. • Facilities department was studying the route in 2002/2003 • Burns were asked to perform the design work and under BOA issued Title 2 services through Facilities Department on December 12 2003. Facilities Dept gave input to Burns for location of Piers. • Burns submitted their PDR version ( also surveyed) in early Feb.2004; ( PDR held on Feb.14 2004) • FacilitIes Dept. conducted GPR on proposed locations of Piers in March/April 2004 Raki Slide 4
