What? • A series of video clips, no longer than 3 min each. • A ward missionary work activity lasting 2 months, which everyone are encouraged to participate, regardless of age or sex. • Missionaries will outline investigators concerns, Preach My Gospel lessons topics, on which members can theme or base that clips on, including doctrinal principles, ordinances, and everyday life relating to living the gospel. • Have members share their testimonies on a principle or topic they feel most strongly about, including personal experiences, there should be a topic that relates to everyone.

  5. What? • Final product will be a compilation of numerous video clips on DVD, and/or electronic format available to be stored on SD cards(removable disks) for use on portable playback devices, or digital cameras. To be used when teaching lessons and/or during door contacts.

Why? • for members • Allow members to participate and more importantly feel involved in missionary work in the ward. • Increase interest and awareness of missionary work through active participation. • Baseline involvement for all members in missionary work. • Levels of involvement: • 1) Participation in this project • 2) Opening homes for lessons to be taught. • 3) Going teaching with the missionaries • 4) A keen interest and desire to share the gospel with everyone • 5) Member Referrals • 6) Immediate support system to investigator and recent converts

  8. Why? • for investigators • Allow investigators to hear testimonies from “real” people with real life application of gospel principles. • See familiar faces when they come to church. • Hear a different perspective on a particular gospel principle.

  9. Why? • for missionaries • Allow missionaries to have “member presence” anytime and anywhere when finding or teaching on their own. • To provide another witness to testify to investigator.

How? • Gain the full support & backing of the Bishopric and Ward Mission Leadership • Have Bishopric give permission to proceed with this project in his ward under his stewardship • Ward Mission Leader & Bro. Jim Hui of Stake High Council to lead production team in the ward • Present this project to ALL ward members on the 30th January 2011. The 5th Sunday of the month, where there will be a joint lesson • Subsequent visits from missionaries will discuss with members their ideas for the video clip.

How? • Equipment for filming provided by ward members • Cutting and editing to be done by youth and YSA • Filming to be done at home or a chapel after church meeting. • In late February or March, to organise the 1st quarterly ward missionary fireside, where the finish product will be shown to ALL ward members. • Consent forms to be signed by all members who participated before missionary use the video clips in missionary work • Missionaries to play a support role in project, guiding and overseeing product developments and gearing it towards effective use in the mission field.
