  2. The Great Dionysia Festival The Great Dionysia festival was a festival that honored the god Dionysus, the god of whine, drunkenness, madness, ecstasy, masks, and impersonation. These festivals turned into being a tradition for the Greek people and it was called The Great Dionysia or City Dionysia. As it says in the article that I read, “this festival is highly significant as the origin of dramatic tragedy and comedy. There were tons of different events that happened throughout the festival. Some of the events included theatre, going to a sacred area and sacrificing animals, and more.

  4. The Greek Society The Greek Society was known to really honor the people that they thought were superior, superior, being the gods and goddesses. Bye honoring them, they would have festivals, like The Great Dionysia Festival. I would say that the biggest issue in the Greek Society was keeping the gods and goddesses happy. This festival is very important in Greek history. This shows about theatre, and how it happened at these festivals and it is still happening now in the present.

  6. My Film For my film, I envision the audience to be made up of both men and women, maybe the age of teen and up. I am thinking that the audience’s interests would be ancient history and it really doesn’t matter about their income. This might have a special interest to those of the Greek heritage. I want this movie to show how you should honor the people that are important to you. This movie will connect to their lives by teaching them that. How I see this movie and how I want other people to see it is that they should be learning about a very amazing festival that is called the Great Dionysia, but also they should come away from this movie with learning a very important life lesson.
