  5. Teachers on Permits • One Year Permit • Evaluated by program director • Submit teacher goals, observation & final form • Do not need to log 30 hours of Professional Development • 90 day Permit (Day-to-Day) • No evaluation or professional development requirement

Professional DevelopmentNew Teacher: Teaching less than 3 yearsVeteran: 3+ years (Starting 4th year) 6 hours BAS In-service (Sign-In Sheet required) (DPPD if posses a professional or renewing provisional to professional) + 24 SCECH credits accepted in the following areas: • Michigan LearnPort-$98 BAS Credit • Many new courses will be added by Oct. 1, 2016 • U of M Flint PD SCECH Credits • Workshops • Conferences • PD at your school

  7. SCECH Credits State Continuing Education Clock Hours • Complete survey / *May have a small service charge • MOECS: Print transcript • View/update Professional Learning • Click SCECH tab • Print transcript: ctrl+p • Submit to director by May 30, 2017

  10. Salary Agreement Extra 5 hours • Verify rosters for accuracy • Backtrack attendance from 1st day of school • Send email confirm rosters for count dates • Take attendance DAILY

  11. Attendance • Form completed in New Hire Packet • Log-in information will be emailed by Sept. 15 • Change password each year • Julie Brenner will notify when attendance is available • Default: P for present and mark A for absent

Attendance Questions • Attendance may not be ready until Julie Brenner has confirmed all rosters • School Related Activities: • Obtain attendance from the office to input into MISTAR • Keep hard copies on hand • Substitutes • Emergency • Testing/End Year (certain grades not in session) • Submit with default (present)

Evaluation Process • Submit Teacher Goals-DUE TODAY • Instructional • Professional Development • Student Growth Goal (20%) • Submit spreadsheet with student test scores at the end of 1st semester • Only one unit with one group of students will suffice • Observation • Lesson plan • Checklist will be completed by Principal • Teacher will need to sign final Evaluation
