Goals – Long term • Collaborate in ways that provide support for all students in math, particularly those who are struggling • Use both partners’ strengths in math and in understanding math struggles and what may be behind them • Challenges due to disability-related barriers • Language, visual spatial, speed of processing, organization • Instruction not matching students • Not addressing gaps in their learning • Too little support

  3. Log – second installment due March 15 • Summary of the progress you have made • One artifact (e.g., collaborative plan, student work, meeting notes) representing progress • Indicate whether you are keeping the goal or modifying it • Turn in original goal and any changes

  4. Looking for…….. • TEN examples of what you are doing for this project • TEN examples of artifacts you plan to turn in • THREE examples of modified goals or projects

  5. Sharing Challenges • Write a challenge that you have/have had/foresee in collaborating with your partner for this project. • Collect the cards at your table and pass them to your partner table. • As a group, discuss the challenges on each card and write suggestions or feedback. • Pass the cards back to the original table. • As a group, discuss the shared challenges and the suggestions/feedback.

  6. Rubric • Rate your collaborative work. • On the back of the rubric, something you would like to move more “to the right.” • Hand in the rubric with your collaboration update next week. Free PowerPoint Template from www.brainybetty.com
