  2. What is intelligence??? Intelligence is a person's capacity to • acquire knowledge (i.e. learn and understand) • apply knowledge (solve problems) • engage in abstract reasoning

  3. Intelligence quotient or IQ • a score derived from a set of standardized tests developed to measure a person's cognitive abilities ("intelligence") in relation to their age group • originally, it was a quotient   IQ= MA/CA x 100 (MA is mental age, CA is chronological age)
