Grass land ostriches

Ostriches are fascinating flightless birds native to the African grasslands. They eat a wide variety of foods, including plants, seeds, roots, lizards, and even small rodents. With a unique ability to adapt, an ostrich can consume food whenever it wants. Notably, a female ostrich can lay up to 12 eggs, each roughly the size of a dinosaur's egg. These remarkable birds can live for up to 40 years, largely due to having few natural predators, except for the speedy cheetah. Learn more about these intriguing creatures and their habitats!
