Task • Today you will be searching the web for important information about the State of Ohio. • Our class has been chosen to make a brochure about our state. • This brochure needs to include important history, as well as attractions to interest people in visiting our great state!
Directions • You will surf the web to answer all of the questions on the next slides. • I have provided resources (websites) for you to find the answers. • After answering all of the questions, you will need to find two attractions in Ohio that would interest someone in visiting. (Make sure you take notes) • After finding all of the information you will need to write a short report to help you with your brochure.
10 Questions • 1. What is the state flower? • 2. What is the state song? • 3. What is the state bird? • 4. What is the state flag? • 5. Name the seven presidents that were born in Ohio. • 6. Where is the state capital? • 7. Name a pioneer from Ohio. • 8. What is Ohio’s nickname? • 9. Name a state park in Ohio. • 10. Who first explored the Ohio region in 1669?
