Objectives • Utilize Data Director to gather a ‘big picture’ understanding of our student’s strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities to increase OG API scores • Navigate through Data Director to find five of your students with CST scores of FBB, BB, B, P, and Advanced. • Strategize ways to meet students where they are and increase comprehension.

  3. Navigating Data Director • We will navigate through Data Director to view your students’ ELA 2010-2011 CST scores. • You will need to find five of your students who have scores in each of the columns • You will complete the handout ‘Analysis of Student Work’ .This will be turned in at the end of the collaboration meeting.

  4. Data Director Login Information • Website: www.achievedata.com/esuhsd or www.datadirector.com/esuhsd. • User name: Last name first initial (i.e Linda Gross is grossl) • **First time temporary login password: 1112esuhsd

  5. This is the welcome page Click on this link if you have forgotten your password or need/ want it rest. After you login, you will be prompted to change your password to something else. Passwords need to be at least 6 characters, and are case sensitive.

  7. Use the “switcher bar” which is located on the upper left of the screen just left of “Overview”. This will open as a dashboard showing you the page options when clicking on it. The “Switcher bar”

  8. 2. Click on Report Icon Click here

  9. Pre-Built- Cluster Scores 3. Click on the Report Tab and scroll down to Pre-Builts. Select the “CST CLUSTER SCORES”. Click on English Language Arts Click on Select Manually Click on English

  10. 4. The page will refresh and it will ask you for what year you wish to see students result for (student population) Click on 2011-2012 CLICK ON 2011-2012

  11. 5. Teacher Name- Pick 2-3 teachers that teach the corresponding grade level of your students. 2011-2012 2011-2012 Click on Show Only English Language Arts Teachers

  12. You will need to CHOOSE 2-3 English Teachers in order to find five of your students who are identified as FBB, BB, B, P and A.

  13. Click on “Add Summary Options” and check the 1st Box Include Individual Student Scores. Only the 1st box is needed for this report You will be gathering data from both Percent Correct and Raw Score

  14. Click on Percent Correct Click on Show Number Possible Click on Submit

  15. Completion of Part II Student Analysis • Using DATA DIRECTOR you can complete the questions on the CST scores • Infinite Campus and or Cruncher can give you the data on credits and CAHSEE etc. • Findings and Patterns Questions: Are their scores consistent across subject areas or not? What was surprising about the data? What strategies can WL Dept do to increase reading comprehension and writing skills?
