  2. What Is Epidemics? • A widespread occurrence of an infectous disease in a community at a particular time.

  3. Latest Epidemics. • In Pakistan 2011 dengue out break in Pakistan , dengue fever.

  4. Why Is It a Problem? • It’s a problem because there are many types of EPIDEMICS……Such as Typhus, Influenza, Flu, and Smallpox and more…. • All of these diseases are a problem cause It can spread fast person to person, if you get one of these you will get VERY sick and probably die. And hundreds of people get these diseases everyday.

  5. What is being done? • At the end of 2006, an estimate of 1,106,400 persons where living with HIV infection, with 21% un diagnosed. this number increases 60,00 Per year , with approximately 10 cases everyday. However steps are being taken under president O’bamas health care.

  6. What is it relevant to us today? • Today Epidemics have been happening with HIV and AIDS. Since the height of the epidemic in the 1980’s the annual # of new HIV infections in the US has been reduced by a third.
