  2. summary I read a great book called The Great Kapok Tree. It is in the AmazonRainforest. When the man tries cutting the tree down WHACK! BOOM! BANG! All The heat and humming of the forest made him fall asleep When animals came whispering in his ear to persuaid him to not cut down the kapok tree. When the frogs came they also whispered to him. When the jaguar whispered he said that he woke from his sleep. When the three toe sluethths came when it came down it whispered to the man. I would give this book 10 out of 10 stars because this is a great book.

  3. Text-to-text • I made text-to-text connections with The Giving Tree by ShelSilverstein and The Great Kapok Tree by Lynne cherry. I saw one connection when there was one boy in each story. In The Giving Tree the boy would sleep with the tree like the man did in The Great Kapok Tree .I made another connection when they both had an axe at one point. They both had a tree that would give the kapok tree gave homes the giving tree gave a home , fruit ,and a boat. The animals were frightened and the tree grew sad. The boy would sit down the man had fallen asleep. Both of the books had speaking in them. When the boy wanted to cut down like the other man. And that’s how I made my connections.

  4. Text-to-self Today I made text-to-text connections with The great kapok tree . How I made some of these connections are when the man I have seen a snake before. I’ve also seen a frog hopping around. When I went skiing I Saw an enormous tree with squrills Hibernating. As in the story how the animals didn’t want the man to cut down the kapok tree like we didn’t want our swing tree cut down. When the snakes slithered down the tree The snake I saw went up the tree. That’s how I made my connections.

  5. Text- to-world • Today I made text-to-worldconnections on The Great Kapok Tree. How I made one of these connections is there is such thing as the Amazon rainforest and it has animals that live and sleep there. When the man wanted to cut down the tree many other people like to cut down trees for their own uses. When the animals whispered to the man how they didn’t want him to cut the tree down the tree real animals actuly live in there. When the trees are cut down the air gets dryer and dryer. Rainforests offer homes to animals. This would be my last connection but leaves give off medicine for animals and plants . And those are my connections I hope you enjoyed my story?
