  1. The Great Kapok Treeby Lynne Cherry Taylor

  2. Summary • I just The Great Kapok Tree by Lynne Cherry. It takes place in the rainforest. The main characters are the Kapok Tree and the man. The problem is that the man wants to cut down the Kapok Tree with all his might. He was starting to get tired so he laded down and went to sleep. Suddenly three porcupines hoped from branch to branch and said Sehor If you cut down this tree we wouldn’t have oxygen to breath . I rate this book 10 out of10 stars because it is an amazing book.

  3. Text to text connection • I just read The Great Kapok Tree by Lynne Cherry and I read Our Tree Named Steve by Alan Zweibel. The animals were caring to the Kapok Tree by persuading the man not to cut down the tree then the man fell asleep. Four porcupines swung from branch to branch and whisperd to the man: Sehor do you know what animals and humans to live? Oxygen. And Sehor, do you know what trees produce? Oxygen! If you cut down the rainforest you will destroy that which gives us all life. In Our Tree Named Steve the tree had saved them from that wacked storm enstead of the tree falling twords their house the tree blew the other way. It went the other way and saved them.

  4. Text to self • I just read The Great Kapok Tree by Lynne Cherry. I have a tree that is my neihbors. They let me climb it and is realy fun to climb. Also it is enormous and it is realy close to my house. Their house is three houses away from me. They are realy nice. In The Great Kapok Tree the tree let animals climb his or hers tree and the tree was realy nice. Thats my text to self connection.

  5. Text To World Connection I just read The Great Kapok Tree by Lynne Cherry. I made a text to world connection. My text to world connection is that. If rain forest are cut down the air becomes drier. Next, If all the Amozon rainforest was destroyed,77 billion tonnes of carbon dioxide would be realeased into the atmosphere. Also, If people cut down every tree in the whole wide world then all of us will die. Because we wouldn’t have any oxygen to breath.
