School Performance Profile-SPP • Pennsylvania was granted a waiver under No Child Left Behind NCLB • This allows the SPP to replace the former AYP measurement • 2013-14 is a baseline year for subgroup measurements • Data was made public on October 4, 2013 • Some schools with Keystone Test data (primarily 9-12) are delayed until January 2014.

  3. SPP - WHO REPORTS • School-Level Reporting Only • Elementary and Secondary Schools • Charter Schools • Cyber Charter Schools • Comprehensive Career and Technology Centers

  4. 100 Point scale • The scoring system is based upon a 100-point system although schools may earn extra credit for advanced performance on state and defined national tests.

  5. Score Breakdown • 40% = Academic Achievement-Proficient/Advanced (PSSA) • 40% = Meeting Annual Academic Growth Expectations (PVAAS) • 5% = Closing the Achievement Gap for ALL Students • 5% = Closing the Achievement Gap for Historically Underperforming Groups • 10% = Other indicators of Academic Growth

  6. K-8 Academic Achievement Data for ICS 40% • Percent Proficient or Advanced on Pennsylvania System of School Assessment (PSSA) • Percent Proficient or Advanced on PSSA grade 3 reading • 40% for ICS is: • 7.50 Math • 7.50 Reading • 7.50 Science • 7.50 Writing • 10.00 Grade 3 Reading
