It reduces the manual process of locating vehicles and calling other dealers to negotiate trades of allocated units.

  23. DPMS continued..... • Benefits are: • Ability to balance pipeline • Reduces need to dealer trade • Bigger trading pool for better fulfillment • Ability to tie into preference system • Utilizes multiple methods of satisfying requests • Modify models, colors and accessories • Helps to fine tune your inventory

  24. DPMS continued.... • Step 1 - Submit Factory Specifications of the desired vehicle • Submit an “I WANT” request including series, model, color, and factory equipment • Step 2 – Select vehicle(s) in your pipeline that you are willing to change or trade. (I HAVE)

  25. DPMS continued..... • Step 3 – After submission of “I WANT” and “I HAVE” request, the system will look for an immediate match within the nationwide trading pool. • The pool is made up of “I WANT” & “I HAVE” requests from dealers across the country. • SET is the only region who receives vehicles through the port of Jacksonville which is why we do not use the virtual trade on import units.

  26. DPMS continued..... • Step 4 – If an immediate match can not be made, the request will recycle. • The system may prompt you to select a suggested “I HAVE” vehicle to give up from your inventory to get the desired “I WANT”. • A change request will be sent to the plant . (this is an overnight process) • You may submit a special request to have the vehicle built. 90-120 days
