Similarities between Greek And Roman Gods - Many of the beliefs and practices of the Greeks were adopted by the Romans. • -A similarity between the two mythologies is that the symbols and designations of powers are the same in the two. • -The Romans had borrowed many things from the Greeks • -The religion of the Romans was a polytheistic religion which incorporated the worship of many gods and much of which was taken from the Greek religion. • They each have their own sets of gods and goddesses. • The Romans borrowed many aspects of Greek mythology and incorporated it into their own religion.

Ares is the Greek war god and Mars is the Roman war god. • Roman deities dominated the Greek deities. • They have different gods. The Greek Gods are Hades, Hera, Haphaestus, Dionysus, Ares, Athena, Apollo, Aphrodite, Poseidon, Zeus and Demeter. • The Roman Gods are Ceres, Pluto, Mercury, Mars, Diana, Minerva, Neptune, Liber, Vesta and Jupiter are some of the Roman gods known in Roman mythology.
