UW 2012 Freshman Class The 2012 UW freshman class of approximately 6,050 will include approximately: • 709 historically underrepresented students or 11.7% (compared to 12.4% last year). • With the addition of Asian-American students (approximately 1,777), the student of color proportion of the freshman class will be 40.5%. • About 28% appear to be the first in their families who would attain a 4-yr degree. • Roughly 20% appear to be from low-income families.
