  3. Morning • 1 hour earlier • Wake up around 6:30 • Be in homeroom 8:05 • Important to eat breakfast • You shouldn’t leave any work to be done in morning

  4. Lockers • Every student gets a locker • Get 3 min in between each class to go to locker • Can be hard to open in the beginning • You get used to it • Easier than it seems

  5. R/A Period • A 30 min period in the beginning of day • A time to study, read or finish work • Homework is not to be done during this time • In your homeroom

  6. Lunch • You get 32 minutes • You eat with your team • You eat with another 8th grade team • You can sit where ever you like • When buying you choose pizza, deli or hot lunch

  7. Arts • Rotate Arts every 6 weeks • Computers, Art, Family Consumer Science, Careers, Music, Tech Ed • There are tests and quizzes for arts • Every other day

  8. PHYS ED / Health • Every other day • Carr, Peterson, Brainard, Hickey, Noseworthy gym teachers • You get one of those teachers all year • You get to bike, and roller skate

  9. Social Studies • Greek Gods • Myths • Sparta • Athens • Minoans

  10. Science • Environmental • Earth • Experiments • The world around us

  11. Math • Algebra • Pre- Algebra • Math 7 • Order of Operations • Integers

  12. English • Grammar • Vocabulary • Jargon words • Writing pieces • Formal writing

  13. Reading • Fiction vs. Non Fiction • Elements of Fiction • Short Stories • Genres • Warm Ups

  14. Homework • 2-3 hours • Different for everybody • Honors has more than academic • Work Efficiently

  15. Worries • Not being able to open locker • Too much Homework • Being late to class
