  2. But First... A bit about Firefox -Firefox is one of the most customisable browsers available today -Firefox is a legacy of the Mozilla project, which brought many standards to browsing -Firefox is the second most common browser in use today

So, why use an add-on? • Add-ons allow a user to customise the way Firefox looks or works • Add-ons can add additional utility or security to your browsing • Add-ons can converge other functions to work in concert with Firefox • Best of all, add-ons are easy to install and usually easy to use!

  5. Installing Add-ons A quick walk through: -click on > tools > add-ons -click on the get Add-ons tab -select an Add-on -Install -Customise (optional) -Use

  6. Common Add-ons • Persona – change appearance without themes • Fox Splitter – split page browsing • FoxTab – 3D browsing tabs • Fast Video Download – download videos from sites like YouTube • Ad-Block Plus – block banner ads and popups • Yoono – manage IM, blogs and twitter from a side tab
