  4. Adaptations One adaptation the red panda has is a long bushy tail. The red panda uses its tail to wrap around itself at night to stay warm.

  5. Adaptations Red pandas also have enlarged wrist bones that acts like a thumb. These enlarged wrist bones help the pandas grab and hold the bamboo.

  6. Interesting Facts The word “panda” was created for the red panda meaning “eater of bamboo”. Red pandas are not related to Giant pandas. Red pandas are part of both the bear and raccoon families.
