  1. Halloween Poems By: Zachary Merritt

  2. Table of Contents

  3. Halloween Today a ghost came up to my door. You won’t even guess what I saw on the floor. Then all the kids got angry at me. Because they wanted that sweet candy. I thought about if they would do anything to my house. The worst they could do is give me a mouse. I thought about that kid Neville. Maybe all he was, was an old devil. Then Nevil threw candy at me, then I said, “more for me!”

  4. Ghosts Ghosts are very scary. I know why, because I saw one eat a red berry. Ghosts talk to me at night. But be careful because they do fight.

  5. Pumpkin Picking pumpkins for Halloween Ugly rotten old things Making a funky face Purring from the cat carved face Know that it’s Halloween Ink red, fake blood on my face Now don’t get eaten by a mummy

  6. Halloween Hand out some candy tonight Almond Joys are pretty good Laughing, singing, screaming Lying saying I haven't been to your house Octopus’s that look very real Witches with warts Everybody screaming Everybody scaring everybody Nightly night

  7. Ghost at night Ghostly ghost of night. All you are is a ghostly fright. You aren't very nice. All you do is play with dice. I can’t even bare. Your silly old scare. Ghosts have hair. But not when they scare.

  8. Bat I don’t like scary old bats. Or I don’t like scary old cats. Bats don’t like me. So all I do is let them be. They fly around in the trees. I wonder if they like sweet peas. They have big silly wings. I wonder if they sound like ding, ding!

  9. Graveyard Glowing ghosts and grim reapers too. Ghosts gripping grandpa George’s grave. Grim reapers getting bodies for grandparent stew. Getting good stew in my bowl. Gulp! Gulp! Gulp! YUM!
