Mercator plan within SMRCP-TT • Océanographie opérationnelle pour l’Outre-Mer, application à la Réunion : O3MaRresearch project between Mercator Ocean, CNRM (Météo France) • 18 months Post Doc on: • Ocean atmosphere coupled cyclone prediction in the Indian Ocean • Start in March 2012 (G. Samson) • AROME AGCM (few km) coupled to NEMO 1/36° OGCM initialized by Mercator analyses (1/12°) with a relocation capability • Preliminary tests with AROME coupled to 1D ML model • coupling with waves, parameterization of the sea spray • sensitivity studies (horizontal resolution, coupling), forecasts of cyclone trajectory / intensity, ocean state analysis and forecast
