  1. Pickett’s Mill Target Program Welcome Please pick up an index card and write your child’s name and your best email contact. You will use this card for any questions you may have that I do not address.

  3. Testing and passing  • Mental Abilities test 96%ile-99%ile V Q NV C (CoGat, NNAT, OLSAT) • Mental Achievement >90%ile R M C (ITBS or Stanford) • Creativity Assessment >90%ile (Renzulli or TTCT) • Motivational Assessment >90%ile (Renzulli or Portfolio)

  4. Overview of the Curriculum • Two differentiated units per year • In depth, more advanced • Higher expectations than regular classroom

  5. Expectations Regular Education Classroom: Must maintain 2s and 3s in first-third grade or above 80% avg in fourth-fifth grade. Target: Must receive 14 out of 20 marks in the “Meets the essential requirement” column. *Probation will result for the remainder of the year.

  6. Homework • Students are not required to make up class work they missed during the regular school day due to participation in Target
