  2. What is Bullying? • BULLYING COULD INCLUDE:    • Being ignored constantly.    • Being excluded from the group.    • Having rumors spread about you.    • Being made fun of.

Bully Facts • Bullying is anything that hurts someone, or makes them feel bad. • Verbal (name-calling) • Physical (punching, pushing) • Relational (leaving someone out of a game or group on purpose) • Extortion (stealing someone’s money or toys) • Cyber bullying (using computers, the Internet, mobile phones, etc. to bully others) • 160,000 children miss school every day due to bullying. • Average there are 2.1 million bullies and 2.7 million victims.

  4. Don’t be a bystander of bullying!! • YOU ARE HELPING A BULLY BY:   • Providing an audience.   • Not supporting someone who is being bullied.   • Passing on harassing notes.   • Passing on rumors.   • Laughing at a bully's actions.

  5. What do you do when your bullied? • • Explain to the bully how you feel.   • Discuss it with friends.     • Avoid situations which lead to bullying.   • Ignore it. Don't let the bully know that you are upset.    • Go to the school Counselor.    • Talk to your parents.   • Remember--It's OK to let someone know what's happening!!!
