  2. 2019 Season • It’s A Great Time To Be A Flash! • Best Off Season Workouts To Date! • Athletic Department and Program Growth Since Joining The HCC • FTYF and Middle Schools Working Directly With High School Program! • Elite Effort At All Levels! • FBU Camp Site • Success Is Now An Expectation! • 2017 showed that we can be a top 10 program and compete with the best teams in the state! • Details, Discipline, Work Ethic

Flashes Football Player Expectations • Be a Student Athlete • Student First, Athlete Second (MUST PASS 5 CLASSES TO BE ON TEAM) • Attendance! • Players will not play if they are not at practice to learn and develop. Summer is KEY! • Communication! • If there is a reason players must miss practices we expect them to communicate this ahead of time with Coach Lewis and their Position Coach. • Commitment! • Trust the Process. Embrace Your Role. Practice Hard So Games Are Easy. • Respect • Treat your coaches and teammates the way you want to be treated. Be a young man with strong character

It is what helps create the Family atmosphere that our program has. • Let The Coaches Coach And Be Positive! • Negativity can spread like wildfire, trust me and my staff to do what is best for the program and your son. That is why we are here! • 24 hour rule • I Do Not Discuss Playing Time • Join Flashes Football Parents! • This will keep you up to date on everything our programs are doing for your son throughout the year!

  6. May Workouts/ Important Dates • Varsity/JV- M, T, Th,F- 6:30am-7:35am • Frosh- M,W 6:30-8:00pm • There will be no lifting the week of Final Exams (5/20-5/24)

  7. College Showcase May 9th 3:15 Start! Players that have attended Off Season Workout Are Eligible to participate. Players MUST be present at morning workouts Thursday May 9th for Jersey/walk through and have Hudl Account

Importance of Summer • Injury Prevention • Weight room/Conditioning • Heat Acclimation • Knowledge • You won’t play if you don’t know what you are doing • Offense ,Defense , and Special Teams All Installed over the summer • Skill Development and Fundamentals • We focus on this from day one so all athletes have a strong background

  9. Sample In Season Schedule • Times Subject To Change But Players Will Always Be Notified Ahead Of Time • We WILL Practice On Labor Day! (9/2) • We WILL Practice Over Fall Break! (10/7-18)

Injuries/Medical • 2 Athletic Trainers at FC Kierston and/or Meghan (Will be at all practices/events) • Team Physicians- Dr William Mosi Jones @ Community Health Network 317-497-2130, Dr Jackie Kiefer @ Methodist Sports Medicine************.  They will get you in within 24 hours if you call and state that you are a FC athlete. • Injury checks weekly at school with DrJackie Kiefer.DrJaggers will be at all Friday night football games. • Please bring notes to Kierston/Meghan if you see a physician for an injury so we can appropriately take care of the injury.   • Please avoid Medchecks and walk-in clinics unless it is a true emergency: obvious fracture, needs sutures, illnesses and skin diseases.  We typically receive a note that says no activity for 2 weeks and follow up with a ortho physician. They cannot override a physicians note once received.

Paperwork/ Physicals • Each Player/Family Needs to Complete The Following For The Upcoming Season ASAP • Physical • Must be new after May 1st • Need This To Practice Over Summer • Online Paperwork • (Rank One) On fcflashes.com • Pay to Participate • Prior To First Contest • We Will Still Have AFundraiser For This!

  12. Team Store • Players Are Required To Purchase Team T-Shirt and Team Shorts! • **All players must have a girdle and knee pads**
