Engaging Youth in STEM Through Educational Outreach Events

Join us for a series of exciting outreach events aimed at inspiring the next generation of scientists and engineers! Our major event, D.I.V.E., on October 6th, expects over 600 attendees and is supported by NASA. We also have Mahomet Science Day on November 9th and Illinois Space Day on April 14th, featuring activities, exhibits, and collaboration with local schools. Let’s engage students in hands-on STEM experiences and make learning fun! Sign up, brainstorm ideas, and support our mission to promote science education!

  3. Where does ISS Ed-Out Stand? • Several schools seek us out for events • We collaborate with many other RSOs • Aero Department has thorough interest in our work • Our biggest event has an estimated attendance of 600+ [and is supported by NASA]

  6. Mahomet Science Day When: November 9th Times: 8:30-10:45am 12:30-2:45pm Where: Lincoln Trail Elementary To do: • Sign-Up! • Brain-storm Exhibit Ideas [23 Minutes in length] [Repeated 6 times]

  7. Illinois Space Day When: April 14th , all day! Where: Engineering Campus To do: • Start fundraising • Contact local schools • Establish a media presence • Collaborate with other RSOs • Lock in exhibits, demonstrations, and lessons

  9. Contacting High Schools Did you enjoy your high school? Does someone there enjoy S.T.E.M.? LET THEM KNOW ABOUT US!
