  3. Promotion to the 12th Grade 16 Credits Minimum of 3 English and 2 Math credits Enrolled in the other courses needed to complete the 24 credits required for graduation

  4. Attendance Policy • 90-day course • must attend 85 days • 180-day course • must attend 170 days

  5. Graduation Requirements To be eligible to receive a South Carolina high school diploma, students must earn 24 units and pass all sections of the HSAP Exam. Language Arts 4 Units U. S. History 1 Unit Economics 1/2 Unit Government 1/2 Unit Other Social Science 1 Unit Mathematics 4 Units Natural Science 3 Units Computer Science 1 Unit Physical Education or ROTC 1 Unit Foreign Language 1 Unit* (4 Year College Prep) or Occupational Education 1 Unit** (2 Year College Prep) Electives 7 Units 24Units

(MTC and all other SC Technical Schools require ASSET or Compass) IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO PURSUE A HEALTH CAREER AT MTC, YOU NEED TO TAKE THE SAT OR ACT. • You must complete an application before taking the ASSET or COMPASS at MTC. MTC requires an application fee.

  17. COLLEGE ATHLETES If you are planning to participate in college level athletics, you MUST register with the NCAA Eligibility Center. Registration is on-line at www.ncaaeligibilitycenter.net. Register NOW. Registration requires submitting your transcript. You need to request your final transcript to be sent to the NCAA Eligibility Center, so that you will be cleared to play.
