  9. Write out and memorize introduction • This will help you maintain eye contact with the audience • MUST engage audience in intro because that is what will determine whether they listen to the rest of your speech • Do not memorize the rest of your speech

  10. Tip for Strong Conclusion • Use a relevant quotation • If you started with a story, you can save the punch line for the conclusion • Language should be powerful and direct
