The rising and falling of the lithosphere into the asthenosphere due to changes in weight are called isostatic adjustments.
Many times the rocks will fold without breaking; 3 ways 1. Anticline
Other times the rock will break; if the rocks do not move it is called a fracture If the rocks move, it is called faulting
Normal fault Reverse fault
Thrust fault Strike-slip fault
Types of mountains 1. Folded mountains
