Daily Necessities: Loose-leaf notebook paper and 3-ring binder (2 inch wide) Composition Book for Daily Agendas 12 inches/ metric ruler with holes to keep in binder Set of various colored highlighters (at least 4 different colors) Hale Pocket Planner Red and black Pen Large folder with sections for storage of History notebook(keep at home) Workbook- World History

  9. Grading Scale • A 90%-100% • B 89%-80% • C 79-70% • D 69%-60 • F 59% or below The Academic grades are based on total points and are the average of all tests, quizzes, journals, homework, classwork, projects, and extra credit.

  10. Homework Policy • All assignments are due on time! • Late assignments will not be accepted unless accompanied by a parent note or absence excuse. • Late assignments are deducted by 1/5th of the grade. • All assignments are to be written in the Hale Pocket Planner and on the assignment sheets.

  11. Work Habits • Will be determined as follows: • Assignments completed on time and effort. • Required supplies brought to class. • Working diligently in class. • Being on time to class.

  12. Cooperation • Will be determined as follows: • Following classroom rules and procedures. • Respecting others’ right to learn. • Willingness to learn and make improvements. • Participation in class.

  13. Class Rules Be Careful of what you say- Students will exhibit courtesy and respect toward all others at all times. Hateful comments concerning race, gender, sexuality, political views, appearance, or of any other type will not be tolerated; this applies to serious as well as "joking" comments.

  14. Stay in Your Seat- Do not walk around during class unless directed to do so. Have everything you need ready before class begins.

  15. Leave the Food at Home- Students may not eat in the classroom. Closable containers of water are permitted.

  16. I Need to See Your Eyes- Students may not sleep in class. To prevent this, students' eyes must be open and visible to the instructor at all times. Students are not allowed to put their head down in the classroom.

  17. Nothing Goes Airborne- Nothing will go airborne in class at any time. This includes pens, paper, and other students. You will clean up what you mess up.

  18. Do Not Say "Shut Up"- This phrase has no place in school. Do not use it.

  19. Be in your seat before the tardy bell rings! Be in your seat with your materials before the tardy bell rings. If you are late you will stay at either nutrition and/or lunch for the amount of time you are late. You will be given a special task during this time.
