  8. Employability Skills Attainment Record: Rating Test Items • Review all test items, and possible supporting evidence for each item, in each ESAR area. • Before rating a student’s performance, review the ESAR standards and test items with other team members who participate in the implementation of the student’s instruction. • Jointly decide how the student’s performance on each item should be scored as a 0, 1, or 2, as explained in the following section. • There must be a response for every item. • Record the supporting evidence used to rate the test item. • Maintain the supporting evidence for inclusion in the Career Ready Alternate Assessment Folder. Employability Skills Attainment Record: Worksite: A non-school integrated, competitive environment where the students engage in work-based learning options customized and aligned to their post-secondary goals, including entrepreneurship, mentoring, shadowing, internship or cooperative education. For careers found only in educational settings, the placement should be outside the student’s school of attendance. Kentucky State Personnel Development Grant/CCR

After Completion of the ESAR • Instructional Team • Reviews the completed ESAR to ensure that all items have been marked. • Qualified ESAR Administrator: • Stores the completed ESAR in the Career Ready Alternate Assessment Folder in a secure location. • Transfers the ratings of student performance to the Career Ready Database, as indicated when directions are received through the Alternate Assessment E-mail distribution list and DAC email.   18. ESAR – Grade Level Administration • Administered at Grade 12 • ESAR can be conducted for a student in Grade 11 under the following conditions: • Student has completed two (2) courses leading to the Career Work Experience Certification and • is enrolled in a third course

  19. ESAR – Grade 14 • Administered at Grade 14 if benchmarks have not been met in previous years • Students assessed at Grade 14 cannot have a graduation code in place

  20. Students Assessed at Multiple Grades The highest score will be selected for accountability, when the student exits with a graduation code.
