  2. 1. DECIDE you want to be successful • Really, the decision is the most important thing. Once you tell yourself, • “Self, no more messing around! I am going to learn! I am going to pay attention. I am going to do my work,” • Changes begin to take place! Mrs. Kaminski

Get Organized • Organize workspace at home • Organize your backpack---get the supplies you need for success: • pencils, pens, highlighters, markers, colored pencils, sticky notes, planner, notebooks, folders, binders…whatever you want to do your job well! • Organize your time! Set a CERTAIN time that you will do your homework, studying and working on longer projects AND STICK TO THAT TIME! Mrs. Kaminski

  4. 3. Do the work • Every day, every class, decide to do the work and do it. • No successful person ever reached their goals by wishing without working. No successful person every achieved success by dreaming without doing. • Success and work go hand in hand! • YOU WILL HIT ROADBLOCKS… • YOU MUST PUSH THROUGH THEM! Mrs. Kaminski

SET GOALS • YOU NEED a road map for success. • Write down what you want to accomplish, what grades you want to earn, who you want your friends to be. • If you don’t know WHY you’re working so hard, when it gets tough, you will give up. • If you know WHY, you’ll persevere through the challenges!!!!   6. 5. Enjoy the journey • I know that sounds like a cliché, but it’s true. • FUN can be had anywhere! And I think fun is more fun when it is happening during meaningful activities! Mrs. Kaminski
