  3. AAN Data Center: status • Up to Year 2000: on line and published as CD-ROMs • Year 2001 data: quality check, on line to be soon, and CD-ROMs in May of 2004 • Year 2002 data: request sent to PIs; some data received

  4. Study Targets(1) Surface Fluxes/Processes • 1-D model validation and study of land-surface atmosphere interaction with AAN data sets • Comparison of the AAN flux data with GAME Reanalysis product (together w/GEWB group) • Comparative study of surface fluxes over the Asian Monsoon region with AAN data set

  5. Study Targets(2) ABL Processes • ABL process study with the data set of surface flux/ABL/remote sensing obtained at EGAT Towerin Thailand • ABL study with the GAME-Siberia turbulence measurements with airplane • ABL studies with linkage to clouds and precipitation processes.

  6. Products • AAN data base and CD-ROMs • Presentations in the GAME Final Symposium and publications in planned GAME Special Issue(s)

  7. CD-ROMs Distributed • Counterpart organizations of AAN stations • 2003 IUGG General Assembly • Japan Association of Hydrology and Water Resources • Meteorological Society of Japan • etc. Total of some 750 copies distributed so far Please take as many copies as you need for your country and colleagues.
