  2. Planning (a) • 1. State the “prompt”, then identify the focus. • 2a) Provide scientific rationale for hypothesis.b) Include order of relationship • 3. State control variables (min. 3),keep it relevant

  3. Planning (b) • 1. Make your diagram neat and clean. • Include materials, resources for measuring control variables • 2. Be explicit about IV and CV control • 3. Explain reasons for range of IV & # of trials

  4. Data Collection • 1. Include instrument uncertainties! • 2. Put lines around table boxes.

  5. Data Processing and Presentation • 1. Be careful with order of trend line • 2. Label axes, include measurements and uncertainties in CVs

  6. Conclusion and Evaluation • 1. Do literature search, if possible, and compare. • 2. Be explicit with error explanation • 3. Be explicit with improvements. Focus on making more accurate measurements.
