Exercise OBJECTIVE • To improve skill & capabilities for command and staff in decission making process in an Incident Command System • To exercise specific plans, policies, procedures in an Incident Management System • To evaluate Command, Control and inter agency Coordination in planning process for disaster relief operation in first 72 hours

Scenario Outline 4 • On XX March 2014 at 10.00 hours an earthquake with magnitude of 8.9 RS occurs in West Sumatra Province, Indonesia. • The epicenter of the EQ is 15 km northwest of Siberut Island, West Sumatra, at a depth of 12 km. The EQ is felt strongly in the coastal area of west Sumatera, Bengkulu, Sibolga (of North Sumatra) as well as west coast of Aceh. The most devastativng impact caused by the EQ is in the west coast of West Sumatra and Mentawai archipelago. • 7-10 minutes after the occurrence of the EQ, a tsunami of more than 13,7 meters high hits the coastal areas of the Mentawai archipelago • 35 minutes a 6.4 meters tsunami hits the coastal areas of West Sumatra including Padang City. Some coastal areas of Aceh, North Sumatra and Bengkulu provinces are also affected by tsunami.
