  2. Symbolism: Let’s Review!!! IRONY: Verbal irony (also called sarcasm) is a trope in which a speaker makes a statement in which its actual meaning differs sharply from the meaning that the words ostensibly express. Often this sort of irony is plainly sarcastic in the eyes of the reader, but the characters listening in the story may not realize the speaker's sarcasm as quickly as the readers do. the use of words to convey a meaning that is the opposite of its literal meaning:

  3. How Ironic? What is Ironic Here? Can you spot it?:It is a fitness center that is open for 24 hours, yet what can you see that is ironic? Take a deeper look: The center states at the enterance: “24 Hour Fitness”, there is a stairway and an escalator. Which is the one being used? How ironic. You want to regain your natural weight, but chose to take an easier way out!
