“I, the Lord, remember them no more” D&C 58:42-43 Find your favorite scripture on repentance or forgiveness.
D&C 58:42-43 • Would it be a blessing to be baptized at 97 and then die as you come out of the water? • Say you’re repenting from the habit of swearing. You’ve been doing so well for years. And then one day you smash your thumb and let out one small PG13 word. Have you repented? • What happens in the eternities if we have a few small sins that we can’t remember committing that we never repented of? • Is it true that some sins do not need to be confessed to a bishop? • Can a bishop tell me that my sins are forgiven? • How can I tell if I’ve truly repented? • What’s wrong with waiting until before your mission to repent? • Is it possible to sin so much that you don’t have the power of time to overcome them?
D&C 58:42-43 • What would you say to the Latter-Day Saint who says that since the Lord requires perfection and that they are not perfect and will never be perfect, that they have slim chances for going to the Celestial Kingdom? • Do you have to be a Mormon if you want to go to the Celestial kingdom? Where will really reallyreally good people go (like Mother Teresa, for example)? • The only person to keep all the commandments was Jesus. Since none of us are capable of doing this, please put the term “keeping the commandments” into simpler terms. • Does Jesus really understand everything about us? Does he know exactly what an alcoholic feels? Does he knows how it feels when parents get divorced? Does he know what it’s like to be tempted with immorality? Does he really understand how we feel when we lose a loved one to death? Are any of these incomprehensible for Jesus?
D&C 58:64-65 • “The Gospel MUST be Preached Unto Every Creature”! • The word gospel derives from the Old English gōd-spell, meaning "good news" or "glad tidings". The word comes from the Greek euangelion, or “good news.” • So, what’s the “Good News”?
