Enhancing Mathematics Support: The sigma CETL Initiative Between Coventry and Loughborough Universities

The sigma CETL is a collaborative initiative from Coventry and Loughborough Universities, aimed at enhancing mathematics and statistics education. With £4.85m funding over five years (2005-2010), it focuses on improving maths support facilities, establishing outreach centers in UK higher education institutions and abroad, and conducting pedagogical research. Key achievements include startup funding for new centers, mini-projects, and annual conferences. Future collaborations with the HE-STEM programme aim to secure sustainable support through new hubs.
