The American Alliance for Theater Education • The American Alliance for Theatre and Education- A website dedicated to the national non-profit arts organization, the AATE, which provides education of the arts to students. The program emphasizes networking between arts scholars, educators and artists. The website has a great deal of information about online courses, conferences, and their leadership institute. Literacy is also stressed in the implementation of the arts. I would recommend this site because of its networking links and resources. There is even information on playwrights and artists that would be glad to get in touch with you.

  3. Theatre Communications Group • The Theatre Communications Group has a great study guide database which can direct you to several plays, playwrights, and theaters. It also provides a lot of information on many popular shows that are either running or in development. There is also emphasis on literacy in connection to the arts. I'd recommend this link for anyone who just wants more general awareness of the theatre "scene."

  4. The Educational Theatre Association • The Educational Theatre Association has many theatre festivals and summits that you can get information on here. There are theatre centers all across America and this site can link you directly to all of them. It can even link you to English literacy awareness programs.

  5. ArtJobs • A great resource for job searching in the arts. Jobs on performing arts center positions, summer camp jobs and more are all on here for browsing. You can even find voice teachers if you need one. There is a simple search engine you can choose to find the job of your choice. I found this link by merely looking for jobs in theatre arts on Google. There are also jobs for educators looking to work with English language learners.

  6. PACE Youth Theatre Company • A great place to work and study up on. The PACE program develops performing arts in young people and teaches them all the different aspects of it, like performance, management, and production. Since 2003, the program has made it very easy to get involved with through the site. Lots of information about classes and productions. There are also classes for English language learners.
