As Assistant Secretary of UEF, I have concentrated on the activities of UNECE-FAO Forest Communicators Network = a network of team of specialists on the field forest related communications (UN-mandat: 2008 – 2013) • Leader of the Sub Group Forest related environmental education (forest pedagogics) (Target: European education campaign) • Leader of FCN: Mr. Ingwald Gschwandtl (Ministry of life - Austria) GCM, Annecy – France 10-12.6.2010 3

Forest Communicators Network: The FCN was established by the UNECE Timber Committee the FAO and the European Forestry Commission with the overall objective to improve the ability of the forest and forest products sector to communicate effectively, within and outside the sector, through providing a forum for international interaction and cooper-ation in forest related communications and through developing professionalism of forest communicators by introducing and encouraging state of the art communication approaches. Participation in the FCN is open to all sharing the concern about its common objectives and tasks. Currently the contact database of the network contains more than 120 persons from over 30 countries representing both, government and private sector organisations.
