  3. Body plan/tissue description • Radially symmetrical • Gastrovascular cavity • Stinging cells – cnidocyte • Tentacles that capture prey - nematocyst • Tissues – endoderm, ectoderm and mesoglea • 2 body forms: Polyp and medusa

  4. How does it reproduce • Sexually – male and female, sperm and egg, internal and external fertilization • Asexually – polyp stage and budding • Hermaphrodites

  5. How does it get nutriets • Predators • Poison prey with nematocysts which are located in cnidocytes • prey going into gastrovascular cavity for digestion, enzymes are released
