  1. Week Beginning Monday 6th January 2014 The Baptism of the Lord “In submitting Himself humbly to the baptism of St. John the Baptist, however, Christ provided the example for the rest of us. If even He should be baptized, though He had no need of it, what does that mean for us?” Scott P. Richert

  2. Thursday 9th January 2014 Do you know anyone who is perfect? How does baptism bring people closer to God? Think about your human weaknesses, how can Jesus’ example help you? What does this quote mean to you: “God’s powerful intervention in our lives to save us. This saving intervention of God doesn’t remove our human nature and weakness; we are all weak and we are all sinners. And baptism doesn’t remove our responsibility to ask forgiveness every time we err.” Pope Francis

  3. Let us pray: Come Holy Spirit into my soul,Enlighten my mind that I may know the sins I ought to confess, and grant me Your grace to confess them fully, humbly and with contrite heart.Help me to firmly resolve not to commit them again.Pray for me, a sinner, that I may repent from my ways, that my heart maybe forever united with yours in eternal love. Amen.
