  2. About Lemm Elementary School • Lemm Elementary was founded in 1980 and has been a well established school for 32 years. It is located in Klein ISD in the city of Spring. Lemm is the farthest East school in Klein and is located near the feeder road of I-45 just South of Cypresswood. • Lemm educates grades Pre-K through 5th, provides special education and speech services, as well as ESL and gifted and talented services. The students receive core content subject areas, that follow the state TEKS (math, reading, science, and social studies) on a daily basis, as well as PE three times a week, music two times a week, and art one time a week. • In addition, Lemm offers students before and after school activities in the following areas: Chimes, Choir, Strings, Lion Pride, Science Club, Chess Club, and Art after school. During school, in the months of January and February, the library offers a book club to all 5th graders who are interested. This past year we had our largest student and adult participation.

Lemm’s Mission Statement • Mission Statement: EXPECT SUCCESS! • Campus Objectives: • In order to show an increase in student success in our core content areas, 90% of our students will score a passing grade on Campus Common Assessments, District Benchmarks and STAAR testing. • In order to raise the level of critical thinking of our students, we will increase our utilization of quality questioning in our classrooms. • In order for students to access difficult text, write clearly, and think critically, we will explicitly teach reading strategies that will ensure that they fully interact with the content and curriculum.
