  13. www.nwleics.gov.uk • Internal Audit Scheme – The new LRALC Internal Audit service is due to launch on 1st April next year. • Councillor Mentoring Scheme • Incorporation of LRALC – Your association is changing its legal status to that of a limited company as from 1st April 2018. • Frances Webster started with LRALC on Monday 30th October as LRALC’s Training and Advice Manager. • General Data Protection Regulation – All member councils should read the update on the new General Data Protection Regulation which ALL councils must comply with by May 2018. The usual updates on whether the referendum principles (or “capping” as it is sometimes known) will be applied to local parish and town councils for the forthcoming round of precept setting will be provided by LRALC.

  16. www.nwleics.gov.uk Dates for your diaries – 2018 Parish Liaison meeting dates 4.45pm for 5.00pm start Wednesday 28 February 2018 Wednesday 6 June 2018 Wednesday 12 September 2018 Wednesday 5 December 2018 We are keen to hold three Parish Liaison meeting next year and one parish event. In addition would like to hold one of the three Parish Liaison meetings at a different venue. We will work with the parish and town council working group to gage your interest, views and ideas in early 2018 but any comments or ideas please speak with your Community Focus contact or feedback on your evaluation form.
