  2. Envision the Future • Find the “something” that you want to do • What is your passion? • How you want to be remembered? • How would you like to change your organization ? • What is your dream work?

  3. Enlist Others to Act • Appeal to Others Ideals • Find common ideals • Unite a dream between yourself and team • Create a Vision • Express your emotions, speak from your heart • Speak with symbolic language • Create vivid image of the future

  4. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. • Famous for the “ I Have a Dream” speech • As you watch think about • Why was it so powerful? • Why do we still refer back to this speech? • What do you see? • What do you hear?

Referred to common values; church, family, country Had a vivid dream for the United States Used credible references; Bible and Constitution Mentioned children, relatable to most people Geographical references; evolves whole country Includes variety of identities; age ,sex, religion Repetition; “I have a dream,” “Let Freedom Ring” Switched from “I” to “We” half way through Speech was positive and hopeful
