ACTION PLAN

This training course focuses on applying Information and Communications Technology (ICT) to improve the production and dissemination of official statistics. Conducted by Aminath Shirmeen in the Maldives, the course aims to build the capacity of the largest statistical office in the country by equipping junior staff with essential skills in statistical software like CSPro. The workshop will facilitate knowledge sharing and empower staff to effectively participate in data entry and tabulation processes, ultimately enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of statistical data collection.

  2. GOAL: Enhance the capacity building of our organization.

  3. BACKGROUND • Working in the biggest Statistical office in my country under MPND • There are 34 staffs in my Section including me • My main responsibilities are collecting and dissemination of statistical data for the Statistical Yearbook. • The main problem is collecting statistical data timely • Before this training I have no knowledge in statistical software's • Now, I have learned some statistical software's

OBJECTIVES • Organize a workshop to disseminate what I have learned in this course. • My target group will be statistical junior staffs of my organization • To share the knowledge that I have gained in this course • Actively participate in the survey’s data entry programming using CSPro software.

  6. OUTCOMES • Staffs will gain knowledge on how to use CSPro. • Undestand well and will be easy to data entry • Staffs will learn how to edit and tabulate tables using CSPro.
