  1. Natural Resources Natural Resources used by First Nations By: Hamza, Omar.N, Rizvan, and Ilyas

  2. Introduction Imagine you were put on the face of the Earth with nothing, except the Earth itself. You would need resources to survive the negative parts of nature, such as wolfs, bears, and other deadly creatures. The First Nations mastered this. Starting with nothing, they made tools such as axes to chop wood, bows to hunt for food, arrows for ammunition, and shovels and pickaxes to get different minerals to help them make the tools.

  3. How They Did It The way that they made knifes was, that they used bones for the blade, and animal skin to make clothing. For the source of light, they used tin oil lamps, so as you can tell from the name, tin oil lamps were made with metal, and oil. Below, there is a picture of a First Nation’s Knife.

  4. Hunting Resources Hunter As shown in the picture, this Hunter is hunting for food. Hunting is something for the First Nations to do on daily basisto get food, and clothing.

  5. Main Resource Wood • Wood was the main resource for the first nations because it was so plentiful. Almost everything they had something made out of wood in it. The wood that they used varied from where they lived. A few things that they used wood for is: Canoes, Houses , Tools, And weapons.

  6. GatFishing Resources • Fishers most important resource was fishing nets. They also used fishing rods, made of wood, and string. They used fish for food in case they were hungry or ran out of food.The fishing nets were made out of silk and would catch millions of fish in one throw.

  7. Clothing • First nation clothing would be made out of animal fur such as fox fur and ox fur. They would use seal skin for waterproof boots. Each tribe would have different styles of clothing to suit where they lived.

  8. Conclusion • These strong first nations lived making different resources. They worked hard to provide this for there family and them. Here we are having any resource we need ,Alhamdullilah. We should be happy of what we have.
