  2. Self-centered vs God-centered life •The important thing of living a God-centered life is that we must focus our lives on God's purposes not our own plans. • When God starts to do something in the world, He takes the initiative to come and talk to somebody

  3. 2. GOD TAKES THE INTIATIVE AND SPEAKS TO HIS PEOPLE • The example of George Mueller

  4. What helped Mueller know God’s Will? • He sincerely sought God's direction • He waited on God until he had a word from God • He looked to the Holy Spirit to teach him through the word

  5. What things led to mistakes? • Lacking an honesty of heart • Lacking an upright life in Christ • Being impatient to wait for God • Preferred the counsel of men over the declaration of Scripture
