  4. NHS Policy9th Grade Specific • Faulty Paraphrasing or Summarizing • Replacing words and retaining the basic sentence structure • Restructuring a sentence by rearranging, deleting, words, etc. • Deleting or rearranging sentences in or order to restructure paragraph

  5. Consequences of Faulty Paraphrasing • Student revises same assignment • ·Student resubmits assignment at full credit

Consequences of Faulty Paraphrasing(10th Grade Specific) • 1st violation • Opportunity to revise and resubmit • 0 on first assignment is 15% of grade on resubmit • 2nd violation • Opportunity to revise and resubmit • 0 on 1st assignment is 25% of grade on resubmit • Subsequent violations • No opportunity to revise or resubmit • 0 on assignment

Consequences of Faulty Paraphrasing(12th Grade Specific) • 1st violation • Opportunity to revise and resubmit • 0 on first assignment is 50% of grade on resubmit • 2nd violation • No opportunity to revise or resubmit • 0 on assignment • Subsequent violations • Referral / Loss of exemption • Zero on assignment • No opportunity to revisit assigment
